SUP PPL...so i lied...my blog has been revived...its like new year 21 days ago :) school sucked today...total unfair fucked up shit...
i never come school yesterday,coincidentally...mr kong gave a final warning on keeping the books under the table in the cupboard...otherwise he would throw all the books in the rubbish bin(what and asshole)
and so...nobody actually bothered to help me put my stuff back in the cupboard...and today,my table was clean...and thats is bad...clean means that about $100 worth textbooks and shit was thrown away :( :( :( :( :(

History

[edit] Early years and Black Earth (1996–1997)

Arch Enemy, the brainchild of Michael Amott (Carcass, Carnage, and Spiritual Beggars) was originally assembled when Michael Amott left Carcass. Guitarists Michael Amott and younger brother Christopher Amott (Armageddon) joined with vocalist Johan Liiva (ex-Carnage, Furbowl, Furbowl|Devourment) and then-session drummer Daniel Erlandsson (Eucharist) in what Michael Amott called "an attempt to merge melody with aggression and technicality."

The band's debut, entitled Black Earth, was released by the now defunct Wrong Again Records in 1996. It obtained a fair amount of success in Japan, achieving MTV rotation with their first single "Bury Me an Angel", as well as moderate success in Sweden. At this point, Arch Enemy was more of a "solo effort" than a full band: Michael Amott wrote all the songs himself, and even played bass guitar on the album, contrary to the album's liner notes, which listed vocalist Johan Liiva as handling bass duties. Amott later revealed that he had the credits listed that way to make the album seem more of a "band" effort. Many consider it to be the band's most aggressive album, a trait that was softened to some degree on its following releases, but never abandoned.

[edit] Stigmata, Burning Bridges, and Gossow (1998–2000)

After the release of Black Earth the band switched labels, signing a contract with Century Media. In 1998 Arch Enemy released Stigmata, for which bassist Martin Bengtsson and drummer Peter Wildoer joined the band. This album obtained the attention of a wider audience, gaining popularity in both Europe and America. This was also the first Arch Enemy album to be released worldwide.

In 1999, Sharlee D'Angelo assumed the role of Arch Enemy's bassist, and Daniel Erlandsson was once again recruited to handle drum duties, this time on a permanent basis. Burning Bridges was released, and was soon followed by the live album Burning Japan Live 1999, which was initially a release limited to Japan, but later given worldwide distribution due to demands from fans. During the touring-cycle for Burning Bridges Sharlee D'Angelo was temporarily replaced twice, first by Dick Lövgren (Meshuggah, ex-Armageddon) and secondly, by Roger Nilsson (ex-Spiritual Beggars, Firebird, The Quill). Burning Bridges marked a shift in Arch Enemy's core sound, now opting for a more melodic approach, while still keeping the original melodic death metal-sound upon being first heard from the first two albums.

In November 2000 vocalist Johan Liiva was asked to quit the band. Michael Amott stated that the he wanted a more "dynamic frontman", and that Liiva's live performance was not up to par with the rest of the band.^[2] Liiva was soon replaced by amateur German journalist and death metal vocalist Angela Gossow, who had given a demo tape to Christopher Amott earlier that year during an interview she had conducted with him. Gossow proved to be a competent singer and was received warmly by most fans.

[edit] Wages of Sin and Anthems of Rebellion (2001–2003)

The first album with songs featuring Gossow was Wages of Sin, released in 2001. In December of the same year, Arch Enemy took part in the "Japan's Beast Feast 2002" concert, playing alongside Slayer and Motörhead.

Anthems of Rebellion was released in 2003 and brought some innovations, such as the use of a second voice singing in harmony, for example in "End of the Line" and "Dehumanization." In November of the following year, the band released the EP Dead Eyes See No Future, which featured live recordings, along with covers of Manowar, Megadeth and Carcass songs. In June 2004, the band embarked upon Japan touring supported by a Japanese act Edge of Spirit.^[3]

[edit] Doomsday Machine (2004–2006)

In June 2005, Arch Enemy finished the recording for their sixth album, Doomsday Machine. In July 2005, guitarist Christopher Amott left the band in order to focus on his personal life. He was temporarily replaced by guitarist Gus G. (ex-Dream Evil, Firewind), and then by Fredrik Åkesson in September 2005. Christopher returned on a permanent basis in March 2007, shortly before the band entered the studio to begin recording their new album with producer Fredrik Nordström (who has produced for acts such as In Flames and Soilwork).^[4] Åkesson went on to become Opeth's new lead guitarist in May, 2007. An album from Arch Enemy's earlier work, Black Earth, was reissued on April 24, 2007, with Liiva's vocals.

[edit] Rise of the Tyrant (2007–2008)

Arch Enemy's seventh album, entitled Rise of the Tyrant was released on September 24, 2007 in Europe and September 25, 2007 in the USA. Rise of the Tyrant debuted at number 84 on the Billboard 200 chart. This surpasses the Doomsday Machine chart entry, making it the band's highest charting effort to date. Gossow said the new album has more emotion and less double vocals, as well as less vocal processing, yielding a more "raw" presentation.^[5]

Arch Enemy played the Bloodstock Open Air Festival in August 2007, between Sabbat and In Flames, headlined by Lacuna Coil. Finntroll and the Costa Rican metal band Sight of Emptiness were also among the bands playing.^[6] They then performed on the Black Crusade tour at the end of 2007, with Machine Head, Trivium, DragonForce and Shadows Fall. With this, as Michael Amott reported on the band's website, "These will be the first European shows we do with Arch Enemy after the release of our new album".^{[citation needed]}

On March 8, 2008, Arch Enemy filmed a live show in Tokyo, Japan for the live DVD Tyrants of the Rising Sun.^[7] Arch Enemy also co-headlined the Defenders of the Faith tour in April 2008 with Opeth and DevilDriver, while 3 Inches of Blood opened for them. They then headlined the Tyranny and Bloodshred tour in May 2008 with Dark Tranquillity, Divine Heresy, and Firewind as supporting acts.

[edit] The Root of All Evil (2009 onward)

In September 2008, guitarist Michael Amott announced that drum tracking was almost complete for a new album.^[8] It will include twelve re-recorded songs spanning the band's career before Gossow joined as vocalist, with some material pre-dating D'Angelo as their bassist.^[8] The album, titled The Root of All Evil, will feature re-recordings of songs from the first three albums by the band — Black Earth, Stigmata, and Burning Bridges — with Angela Gossow on vocals.^[9] In the first half of 2009, the band toured Europe and South America, and they also played at the annual Dubai Desert Rock Festival alongside Opeth, Chimaira, and Motörhead.^[10]^[11]^[12] Following the release of The Root of All Evil on September 28, 2009, the band will embark on an Asian and Australian tour, including their first visit to New Zealand, to be started at the Loud Park festival in Japan on October 17, other acts include Megadeth, Judas Priest, Slayer, Anthrax, Rob Zombie and Children of Bodom.^[9]^[13]

lol i just found this cool blackened death metal band called "behemoth" they are kinda cool
i listen to their 2007 album"apostacy" but i was told that their older albums are heavier and nicer let me remind you about the fact that they are not playing a big load of bullshit,they are actually nice.

they have a sort of middle eastern influences in thier music,in the songs intro,ther will always the the hint o persian music in it,which i find i a very ncie and creative concept

basically "behemoth" is the reference of of an extremely large and powerful mythical creature

Behemoth is a Polish blackened death band from Gdańsk, formed in 1991. They are considered to have played an important role in establishing the Polish extreme metal underground, alongside bands such as Vader, Decapitated, Vesania and Hate.

Until the late 1990s, the band played traditional black metal with heathen lyrical content, but soon changed to that of occult and thelemic themes written by their lead vocalist Nergal and Krzysztof Azarewicz. With the 1999 release of Satanica, the band showed their presence in the blackened death metal scene, while retaining their own signature style characterized by the drum work of Inferno, multi-layered vocals and Nile-style Middle-Eastern influences. Even though Behemoth has been labeled as death metal, black metal or thrash influenced, Nergal has mentioned that he doesn't like the band to be labled.

History

Behemoth was formed in 1991 as a trio, starting with raw and primitive black metal rehearsal tapes (Endless Damnation) and demos (The Return of the Northern Moon), the most significant of which was the second one—...From the Pagan Vastlands (1993). Tomasz Wróblewski likes to announce that his metal influences sprung from Black Sabbath for giving him his ideas of "demonic" chords.

This tape was released by Polish label Pagan Records and later on by the American Wild Rags. Signing with a little-known black metal bands from mid-eastern Europe with enormous potential. Consequently, stepping forward, the band (as the three piece with Nergal, Baal, and Les) recorded their second album Grom.

Grom has been the most discussed release thus far, due to its many different influences and musical styles, using female vocals as well as acoustic guitars and synthesizers. At the same time, Behemoth finally got a chance to play live shows in its native country and finally tour around Europe, gaining stage experience as well as positive feedback from the audience. Two years later, the band recorded a third album, titled Pandemonic Incantations which was a "breakthrough moment" in Behemoth's short career. The reactions of their ever-increasing fanbase and metal media set a new standard for them. However, due to a lack of promotion, the album was not well-publicized. After another extensive tour, Behemoth signed a two-album deal with Italy's Avantgarde Music in the fall of 1998. The first result of this new collaboration was the album Satanica, on which the black metal sound had evolved into blackened death metal.

The label also secured two European tours for the band in support of Deicide and Satyricon respectively. During that period, Behemoth had to go through some line-up changes and problems with their ex-Polish label. The new members then were Novy (formerly known from Devilyn, now in Vader, Dies Irae) who handled the bass duties and Havok who became the band's guitarist. The new line-up resulted in Behemoth signing with Mystic, a Polish label. The next follow-up release to Satanica was Thelema.6. Massive guitar parts and precise drumming, with influences from different sources, showed that Behemoth were there to offer something really varied and innovative once , complete with characteristic fierce brutality and speed. Arrangements and technical invention on individual compositions made the album an exceptional one for the blackened death metal genre.

Thelema.6 has been supported by the worldwide press and , including having their album being officially released in Russia and Brazil for the first time. Continuing the support for Thelema.6, Behemoth appeared in several prestigious live events like Wacken Open Air, With Full Force, Inferno Metal Festival, Mystic Festival, and Mind Over Matter Autumn. They started first headlining tour alongside with Carpathian Forest and Khold, followed by festival tour in Poland (Thrash em All Fest. with Vader and Krisiun, among others).

In 2001, Behemoth focused on writing new material for a sixth studio album. Meantime, they completed their second headlining tour in Russia, Belarus and Ukraine. Having completed the recording of their new songs, Behemoth entered Hendrix Studio for the second time, with help of their friend and sound engineer Arkadiusz Malczewski, and produced Zos Kia Cultus (Here and Beyond). The result was impressive and overwhelming for their detractors who thought that the band couldn't reach newer heights following Thelema.6.^{[citation needed]}

Behemoth live in 2007

In February 2003, the band started their first tour in Norway, playing in cities such as Bergen, Oslo and Stavanger. On March 11, 2003, the American premiere, scheduled by Century Media Records, headlined Behemoth's first appearance in the American continent. The tour started on the 9th of March at the New Jersey's Metalfest and continued with a decent amount of shows across America and Canada, with the company of Deicide, Revenge, Vehemence and Amon Amarth. Shortly after doing their first US tour the band was invited to join the Blackest of the Black Tour by Glenn Danzig. The already legendary festival included acts like Danzig, Superjoint Ritual, Nile, and Opeth. In the fall of 2003, Behemoth flew over to US to complete their third tour with Six Feet Under, Skinless and Black Dahlia Murder. The band did their Finnish debut appearance on the famous Tuska Festival with Ministry, Soulfly, among others. At that time, due to some line up difficulties, Nergal parted his ways with Havok and Novy, who decided to focus on activities with their own bands. Eventually, the band resumed touring in the UK and Europe.

In 2004, their seventh studio album, Demigod was released to good critical response. Recorded at the Hendrix Studios, the album debuted at number 15 on the national Polish album charts. Music videos for the songs "Conquer All" and "Slaves Shall Serve" were also shot. In fall 2005 the band headlined the Demigod supremacy Canadian tour 2005 with Necronomicon

In 2007, the band toured Europe alongside Napalm Death, Moonspell and Dew-Scented. Behemoth released their eighth studio album The Apostasy in July of that year. It was recorded at Radio Gdańsk studio in December, 2006. Shortly after the release of The Apostasy, the band was featured as one of Ozzfest 2007's second stage headliners, one of the four non-US bands playing that year. In October/November 2007, they played their first US headlining tour alongside Job For A Cowboy, Gojira, and Beneath The Massacre. In October/November 2007 the band toured Europe alongside Canadian death metal combo Kataklysm and Belgium's Aborted.

Live at Hole In The Sky 2008

In February 2008 Behemoth toured Europe headlining over Suicide Silence. In April/May 2008 the band toured North America as part of "The Invaluable Darkness" tour with Keep of Kalessin and headliner Dimmu Borgir. Behemoth spent the summer playing a number of prominent festivals all over Europe.

In October 2008, Behemoth released their first live album, At the Arena ov Aion – Live Apostasy. Also, an EP called Ezkaton was released featuring a re-recorded version of Chant for Eschaton 2000, one new song, two covers, and three live songs. The EP has been released in North America on November 11.

In March 2009, the band suggested that the new album, due in the summer, would be produced by British producer Colin Richardson. Behemoth will release its 9th full length album entitled "Evangelion" on August 9th via Nuclear Blast in Europe and August 11th via Metal Blade in US. Shemhamforash, a track from this album was released in July 2009 on their Myspace page.

In July and August of 2009, Behemoth will be participating in the Rockstar Mayhem Festival alongside Slayer, Marilyn Manson, Bullet For My Valentine, Trivium, Cannibal Corpse, All That Remains, Job For a Cowboy and more.

Controversy

Behemoth may at some point become banned from playing in their native country, Poland. In July 2007 the All-Polish Committee for Defense Against Sects distributed a list of bands that allegedly promote Satanism and murder to many Polish officials. Critics of this policy primarily see this as a violation of free speech, with the most scathing criticism generally eminating from within the metal community. As of present, the list has not gone into effect, and Behemoth is still allowed to play in Poland freely, but the band provoked further controversy in February 2008 when an official complaint had been registered by the committee, which cited a bible-tearing incident on behalf of band frontman Nergal at a concert in September 2007.

damn.back from a camp,two days back but still tired as hell,damn.it was pretty fun,but the campfire was the most embarassing event in the whole camp.apparently:
while preparing,someone said something and out of the blue,instrictor Alvin(1 of the camp instructors)got so damn pissed and said:AIYAH ALL DONT DO LAH!KANINA LAH! DONT DO LAH!.i was shocked,not becaused he got pissed,but said kanina infront of eveyone,including some teachers who were nearby,everything was well,we had teak-won-d0(dunno how to spell),some retarded but funny dance and some speaking thing,but then after the instuctor said"DONT DO LAH!"we were puzzled on what to do,so in the end we came up with the most stupid item ever,geez,i wonder what made him so damn angry:@.hmm

lol geez,i nervously asked my dad if he would,buy me new guitar pick-ups,he said ok and told me to give him till july,lol i want lots of tweaking done to my guitar,but just cant,lol maybe i'll save up
my plans are:
1.remove pickguard
2.change my bridge pickup:emg 81
3.change my neck pickup:emg 60 or some lower output pickup
4.paint my middle single coil pick up black
5.new body paint job:black,red,or maybe,if the pickguard is still there,white body and black pickguard
6.new miachine heads
7.refixed bridge(my whammy screwed it)
8.pinstripe
9.full refretting
10.and different inlays with binding
then its will be MY very own signature,muahahahaha
